just think or believe that in order for progress to continue we must continue to discuss the inequality in our country. For it to be a melting pot, not much is melting nowadays. Why? Have the people of the US become content in what they see? Are we afraid to discuss the inequalities of this country with out feeling that we will be looked upon as racist. What happen to the idea of conversation and intellectual thinking. Where have the real questions gone?

Tin Foil Fez (below) AGREED! That being said, with the GOP, it is apparent that certain people are NOT afforded a real opportunity to be considered. ALSO, the front runners dodged a debate with a group of Americans that happened to look a little different from them. They may not be prejudiced themselves (I do not know), but they do pander to the prejudiced wing of their party.

you like it though because you were born here? i mean if you happened to be born in like japan you would probably like that culture too.
What i mean by melting pot is that American culture is contributed by many, many different cultures.
Earthman.. thats not true. My mothers family is Spanish and my fathers is French. ALL of my family learned to speak English. And most Hispanics I know learn it as well. Its just, we like to represent where our family and history is all about.
