meats no treat for those you eat asked: I would like to know the best brand (hersheys, godiva, ghiradelli, etc) and type (dark, milk, semi sweet, white, etc) of chocolate to use in like a melting pot of choolate fountain. i know that using chocolate chips is the best, but im not sure what else..

milk chocolate hershey’s is the best. it’s sweet and other brands like godiva and ghiradelli just dont compare to the milky sweet taste of hersheys!
Ghiardelli and not the chips because they add something that helps it keep the shape. Its better to get the bars in the baking section in your store.
use callebraut if you want smooth with well balance flavor. if you dn’t have, then godiva is fine, ghiradelli is fine.
don’t use hershey because their chocolate always has a sour milk flavor to it (sour milk flavor is added to the manufacture of hershey’s chocolate to duplicate an old flavor everybody remembers it)
use milk, or dark chocolate.
