Favorite chocolate fondue at The Melting Pot?wrighteous asked: I'm going to The Melting Pot tonight for dessert. It's my first time going there, so I was wondering what chocolate fondue is the best. I personally am not a fan of white chocolate or marshmallow, and I know they make a few with those ingredients. But of
It’s pretty good and definetely a unique experience, fondue rules, especially if you like the 70’s.
It’s pretty much a ‘casual but upscale’ type resteraunt, fairly pricey, but good food.
Expect it to take a really long time, and to leave smelling like the food you just ate. Also, don’t wear anything white, cause you will most likely drip on yourself at least once.
If you want to know what the actual meal is like… here’s what I had. You get to pick a fondue appetizer and main course… I had some sort of cheese mix, I don’t remember if that was the appetizer or main meal. I can’t remember both courses. You get to pick from a variety of choices. Then you choose what you want to go with the fondue.. like, chicken, beef, veggies, fruit, bread etc. I highly suggest getting some apples for the cheese dip as one of your choices. Then if you want desert the process is repeated, but you get to choose a chocolate fondue and things like marshmallows, graham crackers, fruit, etc. for the desert. It’s really amazingly delicious. All of it.
Good lord that is making me hungry!
I’ve never been personally, but my sister and her husband went. She says that if she were to go again she would only get the appetizer course and the dessert course. If you order any meat, be sure you wear a watch to keep an eye on cook times.
It’s very good but it’s a little pricey. Don’t expect to get in and out of there in less than a hour and a half.
its awesome there :]
I actually did not like it.It was very expensive plus everything you cook yourself.I thought the main dish we wouldnt have to but I dont like handeling all that raw meat and fish. The food is also very bland. The dessert was very good though.
I highly agree with Molly G.
I think the place is lame. You seriously pay to cook your own food. For your entreé, they bring you a pot and the ingredients and you make your own meal. Stay at home, do it yourself and save some bucks.
I do like it for dessert & appetizers though. It’s nice to have fondue once in a while.
It’s a bit of a production with all the fondue and hot pot cooking; a reasonable place to go for a date night or with a group.
Dress in light clothing; those hot pots and fondue pots get quite warm!
