  I adore the Melting Pot! It is very romantic and quiet. The food is great and there is just something sexy about eating fondue=)

  I haven’t been to Blonde, but personally I don’t like The Melting Pot. Although it’s Zaggat rated and the food is good, it’s really really expensive for a small portion of food. It smells weird in the restaurant (since everyone is boiling cheese) and there is always a long wait.

  I’ve been to the Melting Pot only and I would recommend it for appetizers or desserts ONLY. The entreés are rather corny. Plus YOU cook your own food.

  I’m not sure if I would be a good judge because I work in fine dining. I believe both places to be cool for a random night out, not for anything special.

  I did a review on the Melting Pot. You can see it on Citysearch under keila310. I went to the one in Pasadena. It’s overrated. The service was glaciel. I wouldn’t recommend the Melting Pot.

  The melting pot is fun but you need to plan for a 2 hour dinner!!

  Hey, I’ve been to the Melting Pot several times in K.C, its fondue, The food is fantastic, its a fun dinning experience. Be sure to save room at the end of the meal for the fondue chocolate.

  I would not do the melting pot… food dipped in cheese and chocolate does not sound that healthy…or appealing. It sounds very cheap and I’m sure they charge WAY TO MUCH

  I have been to Melting Pot. Their food is pretty good, i myself am not to big on dipping bread and fresh veggies in cheese, the actual entree part of the meal is cool, you do cook your own food, and the desert is probably the best part. I do have to say that even though it is a very cool experience, it is very expensive. We had 8 people I think, nobody got any wine, etc. and we got 1 cheese fondue, 2 main entree fondues, and one desert fondue and it cost over $300.00. If it is just 2 people, I don’t think it would cost that much, but still, the melting pot is very expensive. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion.

  Another great place on the Plaza is Brio’s. Great food, great dining experience.
