Also, when i put it in my right nostril NOTHING drained out of my left. It only worked when i put it in my left nostril

I’ve used a neti pot before. It sounds like your one sinus is blocked so the liquid went to your ear. Try to blow your nose to unclog it or take a hot shower to open up your sinuses. Vicks on your nose might help too. Don’t use the neti pot again if your sinuses are blocked.
Tip your head sideways to let the water drain out just like you would if you went swimming and got water in your ears.
