whatever asked: I just figured out how to use the neti pot correctly; however, when i did it water only came out of one side. when I got to the other nostril only droplets of water came out. so i figured its really clogged. anyways one side is still clogged??? and now i have facial pressure. anybody that has experience with a neti pot please share your thoughts. thanks

when you use a neti pot you turn your head to the side and pour water in the top nostril. It will run into the sinus and come out only one side which is normal. When all the water has drained from that side turn your head the other way and repeat putting the neti pot in the other nostril. It will clear the other side of your sinus. When done you should blow your nose. The water won’t get stuck in there.
Yes, it is very common not to have water coming out from the other nostril when you are totally blocked.
Another way to perform nasal irrigation is to use a plastic syringe. You may be able to get more out of the syringe than with the neti pot when you have this situation.
