I am sure you could make one, it just looks like a minature tea kettle. I got the authentic Neti and I do it about once a month, no more sinus head aches.
Should be able to make one by using a small watering can for indoor plants. I understand your frustration, I have been searching for a neti pot for the past 2 months and they are sold out everywhere. I think pharmacies sell them for about $15 (Cheap plastic type). Also.. If anyone knows of how to use the neti pot without swallowing the saline, let me know - I tried to use a bulb syringe with the saline and it just goes down my throat.
All you have to do is use a regular glass or cup. Just put your nose on the rim of the cup and slowly tilt your head back until the water goes down your nose. It seemed to help when I left my jaw slack, also.
You might get a little water on your shirt but it’s not too bad.
