I have been using my neti pot 2-3 times per day, one whole pot in each nostril each time, with a homemade solution (admittedly more than comes in pre-mixed packets). Recently when I use it and blow my nose afterward I have a small amount of bright red blood, only in one side of my nose, often with some thick nasal discharge. Could too much salt in the mixture several times per day cause this?
